Prior to becoming Super Shisa, he used his real name, Yoshiyuki Saito and later SAITO. He was a part of the NIPPON LUCHA LIBRE movement in the late 90, traveling to Mexico to learn the Mexican style. He actually used the Super Shisa character briefly while there. In 1997 he joined the Ultimo Dragon Gym and would join Toryumon as a 1st term student. In 2001 he announced his retirement, and did so after a farewell series. He announced he had a masked pupil he had been training, Super Shisa.
2001: Debuts for Toryumon Japan.
2002: Aligns with Seikigun. Insists he is not SAITO
2003: Defeats SAITO in a special dream singles match, proving he is not SAITO.
2004: People still think he is SAITO. Aligns with Waku Waku Fuji Land.
2005: Refused entry into Blood Generation and nearly has to drink CIMAs urine from his own mask. Joins PosHEARTS. Teams with Pro Wrestling NOAHs' Tiger Emperor in the Differ Cup Tag Tournament.
2006: With PSH on hiatus, he puts his focus into training and debuting his own pupil, Shisa BOY. Aligns with BOY and King Shisa as the Shisa Family. Reunites with PSH at the end of the year to win the Open the Triangle Gate.
2007: PSH is forced to dissolve, and in the match bloodloss and mask tearing force him to voluntarily unmask. Turns out he was SAITO after all. Steps back from the main roster to focus on training NEX. Wins the Hakata City Jr. title for tiny independent Pro Wrestling Kageki. Plans for a Shisa Boom, with shirts, figures, video games, fast food tie-ins, a baseball team, a school, anime, movies, amusement parks, and TV show never come to fruition. Continues teaming with BOY, participating in the Summer Adventure Tag League. Competed for Michinoku Pro in their Fukumen masked man league. Crosses paths with Ultimo Dragon, the first DG wrestler to do so directly. Dragon only said "SAITO, how are you?".

Shisa continues his reduced role, competing in NEX as a senior, and on main roster undercards.

Regarding his name, there is some contention over the proper English spelling. DG officially lists him as Super Siesar, and it can also be romanized to Caeser. None of the 3 are incorrect, just different spellings. The Shisa is the guardian deity of the Okinawa islands.
